Founded by Dr. Huseyn Hasanov, whose work spans higher education leadership and quality assurance.
Why we exist
Talented students and recent graduates need meaningful ways into working life. Universities need trusted placement partners, and employers need a way to meet emerging talent. Silk Road School brings those people together through curated internships, practical placements, trainee programmes and early-career roles.
We review opportunities before publishing them and help students apply directly, without an account or a fee. We facilitate introductions and placements; the employment or placement relationship remains between the student and the host organization.
Our work with universities also extends beyond placements. We support institutional development through university ranking and accreditation advisory, grounded in evidence and lasting quality improvement.

The founder
Dr. Huseyn Hasanov
Dr. Hasanov founded Silk Road School to create stronger links between education and the world of work. His experience spans higher education leadership, quality assurance and international relations, including his role as Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
That perspective shapes our approach: practical partnerships for students and employers, and thoughtful support for universities building the systems behind educational quality. His role at UNEC is separate from Silk Road School’s work.
